Frank Viola was a renowned homing pigeon racer from Brooklyn, New York City. He began racing pigeons in the early 1940s, and by the mid-1950s, he had formed his own pigeon racing club, called the Viola Pigeon Club. Viola's love for pigeons started at a young age when he would watch the birds fly in his backyard. As he grew older, he became more involved in racing the birds and found that he had a natural talent for it. Over the years, Viola's pigeons won numerous awards, and he gained a reputation as one of the best homing pigeon racers in the country.

During his time in the army, Viola put his pigeons to work. He was stationed in Europe during World War II, and he used his pigeons to send messages back to his family in Brooklyn. Viola's pigeons proved to be invaluable, as they were able to fly long distances and deliver messages quickly and accurately. His success in using pigeons for communication during the war only strengthened his love for the birds, and he continued to race them even after his military service ended.

Today, The Viola Pigeon Club continues to thrive, carrying on Frank Viola's legacy as a respected and influential figure in the world of homing pigeon racing.
